3 Reasons to watch TV again…Lost, The Wire, and award show disasters

Its like day 60+ of the Writer’s Guild strike. And more power to them, keep fighting that fight! But damnit, its starting to wear me down. Watching TV is one of the simple joys of my life, and its just not that joyful right now…. Either they’re pushing some battling choirs with that crumb Nick Lachey, or a saggy rock star dating game, or a Dancing with Stars spinoff….Spinoffs of already unbearable reality shows?
This is starting to remind me of the time I ate uncooked pasta in college because I was too tired to go to the common area and actually boil water.
Anyways, if I have to watch another pathetic excuse of a woman lick creamcheese out of the navel of a buffed-out closeted gay man in the name of love (or at least network TV temporary contractual non-disclosure love), I’m gonna start doing my own marionette troupe, on some Being John Malkovich ish.
But thank you lil’ enfant jesus, with your baby jesus powers….there’s hope on the horizon.
Lost comes back on Jan. 31, and this trailer is cook’d crack in youtube form.
And The Wire comes back on Jan. 6.
(and more with Omar, Bubbles, and Carcetti)
But, on the flipside, the Writer’s Guild has denied a request from the upcoming Golden Globe Awards to allow their members to get out of the strike so they can write the jokes for the ceremony on Jan 13th. And the Oscars are next in line for the same denial. You thought those celebs were corny and annoying with the help of a teleprompter? Just wait till you see them without a script.
Now that I think about it, that could be pretty entertaining….trainwrecks can make for great TV too.

I never get home in time from work to watch prime time TV anyway. And I don’t have TiVo. So alot of TV junkies are hurting alot more than me right now. I am kinda mad about these Leno, Letterman and Conan re-runs though. Conan is one of my favorite people on TV. But I hear he’s gonna come back and write his own shit starting Jan 2, so that’s dope.
Also, start stackin’ up on the DVDs! Just cruise the Best Buy aisles. You will be surprised about some of the TV series they have on DVD right now.

I’m on the writers side of this one, but all I know is, if my season of Lost gets interrupted…there are gonna be BIG problems.

Agggh! sorry for that ugly leftover code at the bottom of the post….I’d edit it out but then it would mess up the video embeds that are already on there….damn it!
@eskay….I kno, right? I literally can’t wait….maybe I’ll netflix the last season to refresh and prep, lol….plus, I really like that Chinese actor who’s joining the cast (and no, not just because he’s Asian…he was dope on the Sopranos as Uncle Junior’s friend in the looney bin)

Im a big fan of The Wire…Im really upset that this season will be the last…The trailers seemed pretty wack though…They’re focusing more on that political stuff(boring!) rather than the streets…Well, I guess I’ll see what happens come January 6th
