J. Cole has been on a mission in 2018 to annihilate every song he’s been featured on. The Dreamville MC has kept busy appearing on songs by Royce Da 5’9″, Cozz, Bas, Jay Rock, Wale, 6LACK, Anderson .Paak, Rapsody, J.I.D., Mike WiLL Made-It and MoneyBagg Yo. Cole World closes the year with one last stellar verse, making a cameo on “a lot” off 21 Savage’s newly released i am > i was sophomore LP. Over the soulful backdrop of DJ Dahi, it’s J. Cole who steals the show on the album intro. With a rapid fire flow, Cole touches on the smoke and mirrors rap industry, social media trolls, and his mission to be named with the greats.

J. Cole even takes time to touch on the fallen Tekashi 6ix9ine and his legal issues. “Pray for Tekashi, they want him to rot/ I picture him inside a cell on a cot. ’Flectin’ on how he made it to the top/ Wondering if it was worth it or not,” he raps. Hear the collaboration below.
