Earlier this month, Ariana Grande was announced as one of the headliners for Coachella 2019, taking place in April. Weeks after the news and teasing fans on social media, the pop singer returns with her new single “7 Rings.” The female empowerment anthem was inspired by a shopping trip with friends following Grande’s breakup with then-fiancé Pete Davidson. During the retail therapy outing at Tiffany & Co., Grande bought her crew of girlfriends seven engagement rings.

The record comes with an accompanying music video, co-starring some of Grande’s closest friends like Victoria Monet, Njomza and others. A flip of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic “My Favorite Things,” “7 Rings” is off Grande’s upcoming new album and follows the singles “thank u, next” and “Imagine.”
