itsyobirthday

Today marks 10 years since The-Dream dropped his debut album Love Hate, which will always be remembered for “Shawty Is Da Shit” (or “Shawty Is a 10” if you were listening on the radio or TV. You know, back when people actually listened to music on the radio and TV). To celebrate, Terius Nash releases this new song called “It’s Yo Birthday,” which doesn’t explicitly reference his album’s milestone, but is a steamy offering nonetheless from a specialist in bedroom anthems.

Stay tuned for The-Dream’s new project Sextape Vol. 1 coming soon.

From personal experience I can tell you speaking to Mary H.K. Choi is like conversing with a human encyclopedia. From random pop culture references to high end art, she knows it all — and some. As an accomplished writer, producer and consultant, this New York transplant probably has done more for journalism then you can imagine. For Complex’s latest The Blueprint episode, NCB sat down with with Mary for her long awaited life story.

scott disick sneaker shopping

After kicking it with Mahershala Ali at Stadium Goods last week, Complex‘s Joe La Puma brings Scott Disick to the NYC staple in the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping. He talks about his style transformation from Patrick Bateman to Heron Preston, Kanye’s influence in the sneaker and streetwear world, and his love for Air Force 1s. Of course, Lord Disick didn’t leave without copping a few new pairs — plus a $10k Supreme LV parka.

skepta ghost ride

After cruising around London in their “Put That On My Set” video last year, Skepta and A$AP Rocky reunite — this time on the other side of the Atlantic — in their new video for “Ghost Ride.” With A$AP Nast also in the cut, the Boy Better Know and A$AP Mob bossmen hit the block in this spooky, psychedelic clip. “Ghost Ride” is taken from Skepta’s recently released Vicious EP, which also features Lil B and Section Boyz.

tyler the creator tiny desk

Tyler, The Creator brought his GRAMMY-nominated album Flower Boy to the NPR offices for his very first Tiny Desk Concert. Never one to play by the rules, Tyler entertained the NPR staff after the working day was over in order to “professionally light the stage” himself. With the nighttime mood just right, Tyler and his band delivered soothing — and occasionally silly — renditions of “Boredom,” “See You Again” and “Glitter,” improvising with the lyrics and instruments along the way.
