mahershala ali

Just 24 hours after winning his very first Oscar, Mahershala Ali guested on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. The Moonlight star talked about his win for Best Supporting Actor and his new role as a father, before sharing a hilarious story about when he found out he got nominated for an Oscar. Thankfully, Jimmy didn’t crack any terrible jokes about Mahershala’s name this time.

Remy Ma had social media and the internet in a frenzy over the weekend with her song “ShETHER,” a lethal 7-minute diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj. To this point, the Young Money Queen has only chosen to respond with various Instagram posts following the release of “ShETHER,” Following its release, as music lovers are hoping for some form of response on record.

Lil’ Kim, who has a long-storied history of issues with Nicki Minaj, caught up with Billboard where she discussed Remy vs. Nicki, motherhood, her 24/7 Star fashion line, being independent and her new album which she expects to arrive later this year. “We all know the situation that’s going on with Remy and ol’ girl. That’s their situation and I have nothing to do with that,” said the Queen Bee on the subject. She later confirmed that there’s no “Ladies Night” remix song with Remy Ma and Cardi B, which sites began speculating following a Winter Wonderland concert in Pennsylvania where Kim, Carbi B and Remy Ma performed at together.

But the situation with Remy, for them to say that we were coming together to do a diss track? First of all, after hearing “ShETHER,” that shit is so hard, Remy don’t need no damn help! Why would I need to come together for that? I mean, I’m into the music and I’m speaking musically wise — the song is just hard, period.” Check out the full interview below.

Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” single has become a mainstay on radio and the charts since its release in January. The U.K. singer, who is set to release his new album ÷ (Divide) this Friday (Mar. 4), appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon recently for a jam session.

Instead of bringing his trusty acoustic guitar, Sheeran joined Fallon and The Roots to perform his smash-hit with some good old classroom instruments. While Jimmy Fallon had various roles playing the bass drum and Casio keyboard, Sheeran brought the vocals and a banana shaker.

August Alsina is preparing to drop his third studio LP Drugs later this year via Def Jam Records. At the top of this month, the New Orleans singer released the mid-tempo single “Lonely” which fans instantly loved. Alsina now returns with an official music video in support of his latest record, premiered by VEVO.

Directed by Amber Gray, the R&B star takes a trip to the local grocery store. Turns out once August steps inside, the place isn’t your average place to stock up on food during the late night. Alsina wanders around the aisles, encountering various people of all ages who find Alsina infectious, soon after dancing with the crooner once in his presence.
