i been on remix (1)

Houston stand up! After the announcement was made last week, the all-star H-Town remix to Beyoncé’s banging new single, “Bow Down / I Been On” rattles its way online. Only a snippet of Queen Bey’s original chopped-and-screwed vocals appear on this remake, but Texas legends Bun B, Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug and Lil Keke all make their presence felt over the Timbaland-produced portion of the record. “Shout out to Pimp C.”

manson(Manson in an upcoming Saint Laurent Paris ad)

I don’t even know where to begin. As if Gucci hasn’t been displaying enough erratic behavior lately, but in a recent interview with Kevin McCall, the frequent Chris Brown collaborator says he recently linked up with shock rocker Marliyn Manson through Mr. Mane. That’s right Gucci Mane and Marilyn Manson are real life homies. Like how did these two even meet? Maybe his “Overboard” track where he raps “Sittin’ in my mansion/listening to Marliyn Manson has something to do with it.” Meanwhile, Big Gucci remains behind bars after being denied bond. (via VIBE)

“I’ve been doing a lot of work for Marilyn Manson,” says K-Mac. “I’ve been trying to venture out into that crowd. It’s real different. He’s such a visual genius. He’s gonna direct a couple of videos for me.”

McCall even revealed their odd mutual connect. “I actually met him through Gucci Mane, which is weird and Gucci Mane is my big bro,” he said. “We do a lot of work together, so it’s so funny to meet such a rock icon through a trap dude. It just shows you the power of music. It could really unite people.”

As you may already know, Tyler, The Creator’s Wolf album leaked earlier this week (bizarrely, it was even up on DatPiff for a number of hours before being taken down). For those taking the moral high ground, you can still get a full listen of the record thanks to the stream made available on OFWGKTA’s SoundCloud. The album has received plenty of positive feedback on Twitter already, but you can make your own judgement below.

Wolf hits stores April 2 and is available to pre-order now on iTunes.

Speaking to Big Boi is always an enjoyable experience. I’ve interviewed him on several occasion and he’s always comes through the off camera jokes and warm attitude. Last month during Grammy weekend, Missinfo.TV hit the Red Bull studio in L.A. to witness Big rip the spot with a performance of “Apple of My Eye.” Before he grabbed the mic, we sat down for a quick chat about the track, his love for touring, working with B.O.B. and the possibility of diving into acting.

This is the third segment of the “In The Red Bull Studio” video series which features influential and emerging artists performing songs & discussing music from new and upcoming releases.

Nicki Minaj is set to unveil her Lil Wayne-assisted video for “High School” on Tuesday (Apr. 2). As you know, this is the same video Wayne was shooting when he suffered his recent seizure attack. In the previously released behind the scenes footage, we see both Weezy and Nicki clowning around a Hollywood mansion. Following the Tuesday morning release, Nicki will also sitdown with MTV.com for an exclusive interview.

For those that can actually stomach Future’s flow on his Sonny Digital-produced cut “My,” here’s the video for your viewing pleasure. The track, which was featured on his Pluto 3D release, was visualized by Cricket and find the ATL rapper in familiar territory.

After a slight delay, Tyler, The Creator brings us another visual sample of his forthcoming, eagerly-awaited Wolf album. Once again, the Odd Future frontman invites us into his wacky mind in the Pharrell-featuring “IFHY,” as we see a miniature Tyler pine after a love in a doll house. Like his previous offering, “Domo 23,” this clip also includes a preview of another track, the Hodgy Beats-assisted “Jamba,” towards the end. Of course, those who copped the Wolf leak (tut tut) will already be well-acquainted.

Wolf (officially) releases April 2.

easton west

Remember that stupid rumor that Kanye West wanted to kill his child North (yeah, as in North West)? Thankfully, that doesn’t sound like it’ll be happening. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, his pregnant boo, Kim Kardashian, dismissed such talk, but said they do have a list of baby names (“some of them are K names, some of them aren’t”) and one in particular she does like is Easton. Okay, now they’re just trolling.

That is not true, [North is] not one of the names on our list. But you know what name I do like but it probably won’t be on is, I do like — ’cause it kinda goes with North — I like Easton. Easton West. I think that’s cute.

Last night, a West Coast rookie took New York while an East Coast Veteran shook up L.A. First up was ScHoolboy Q who rocked two back-to-back shows at NYC’s SOBs to sold out audiences. Puffy ran through his standard fan favorites, but also gave the crowd a performance of his latest number, “Yay Yay.” Meanwhile, Ghostdini and Andrian Younge performed new material from their ’12 Reasons to Die’ album at L.A.’s Mayan Theatre. Ghostdini also took it back to the “4th Chamber” with RZA and Killah Priest.
