Jill Scott recently lent a helping hand to Cecil B. Moore’s Recreational Center in North Philadelphia. The same place she spent most of her childhood writing poetry and creating music was on the city’s demolition list. Upon hearing the news the three-time Grammy winner and her Blues Babe Foundation stepped in and paid for a new roof, gym floor and basketball court. On Monday, Jill Scott returned to the rec center to film the video for her brand new single “Shame” that features Eve. The song is off her upcoming fourth solo album The Light Of The Sun via her new home at Warner Bros Records, CNN’s Sarah Hoyle talks with the Philly native on returning home to shoot the video and saving the community center.

Earlier this week, I rolled with Info down to Jim Jones studio for a little sneak preview of his 5th solo album, Capo. Set to the drop on Apr. 5th via Koch Records, Jones has some big records that many will be surprised to hear. Let’s just say Jimmy ain’t scared to try anything and evolve . Here’s a clip from their chat on how Prodigy’s first post-prison feature made its way onto Capo’s record.

I’m not ashamed to say that I’m feeling this Katy Perry x Ye remix. I don’t care, it’s dope. But I really thought there would be more Yeezy in this outerspace motion picture. Anyway, Katy is scary.

Directed by Floria Sigismondi.

The original version appeared on Dirty Money’s Last Train To Paris LP and back in January we got the remix. Now, it’ll be the lead single off Mary J. Blige’s upcoming solo album. Here’s the official version of “Someone To Love Me (Naked)” that’s now available for purchase on iTunes, also lookout for the video directed by Colin Tilley to drop soon.

(Reverse Hairdo!: Shyne as seen in his “The Original” video, and as seen more recently in Belize)

Shyne promoted his homecoming concert in Belize heavily last week, telling local news outlets that the show would feature local talent as well as some big names from the US. I’m not sure whether these names were actually hinted at or just assumed, but fans expected everyone from Jay-Z to Busta Rhymes to Foxy Brown (who was recently escorted off a cruise ship for another manicure tantrum, smh) to Wyclef. But this past Saturday, no surprises came through. Instead, scathing finger-pointing and criticism followed. The concert’s promoter, booking agent and others accused Shyne of scamming them and then flaying to his home in Israel “in haste.” Shyne’s reps insisted he wasn’t paid enough. And further complicating things was a Belizean lawsuit from the Renaissance Hotel which claimed Shyne owes $150k for his full floor residency last year.

But what stood out from the dispute for me…..was the fact that Shyne actually reversed his own haircut from last year until now. It’s like the exact opposite! That’s kind of amazing.
