More details from MTVNews after the jump

Mikey: FSD has come through with some coverage of Rock The Bells Chicago 2009. The summer’s largest and most talked about Hip Hop show is featuring Nas, Damian Marley, Raekwon, Gza, Cypress Hill, KRS-One, Buckshot, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, House of Pain, Slaughterhouse, Common, Big Boi, EPMD, and many more this year.

Everyone mourns in different ways…but I don’t know about this. Then look at the difference between this and Janet’s speech during the show closer….

I thought this Ojay’s tribute starring Tyrese, Trey Songz and Johnny Gill was the best segment of the awards….(not including the pure emotional power of Janet Jackson’s short message from her family about the loss of Michael Jackson)

The Drake, Lil Wayne, Young Money Ent performance after the jump….complete with pre-teen relatives onstage during the performance of “Every Girl in the World”….ugh.

RELATED: The complete list of BET Awards winners (Rik Cordero was robbed)

(thanks to Cordell to sending this to me…Dwele recomposes Human Nature dolo…so cool to watch! And the pose at the end, lol!)

(Ok…you can’t see much, but you can hear Ghostface’s enthusiasm as he sings along to his favorite Michael Jackson classics while onstage in Melbourne Australia, just one day after MJ’s death. Thanks to Modiika. Here’s another clip from Ghost’s Melbourne show)

While artists all over the world have been creating tributes, Joe Jackson the patriarch of the MJ clan appeared on the BET Awards red carpet and promoted his new project on CNN….after the jump…

(spotted on Yardie‘s blog)

also, Hov’s live performance at the BET Awards after the jump….

Mikey: We went to go check out the traveling sneaker show/Hip Hop jam known as Sneakerpimps last night. Even with Cam’ron suddenly being replaced on the bill by fellow New Yorker Jadakiss, hundreds of tri state area sneakerheads gathered in midtown Manhattan for the chaotic celebration of kicks. Jadakiss, Big Boi, The Clipse, Cool Kids, Wale and DJ Clark Kent on turntables rocked for over two hours, really the creme de la creme of some very diverse emcees.
