He would’ve been where Jay-Z is probably. He just had such a personality. His rap game was LETHAL. RIP.

If Big L was still alive, MOST of these talent-less rappers wouldn’t be allowed to touch a mic. R.I.P. Big L.

Big L AKA The Father of Eminem style… I wonder why Jay-Z or Ruff Riders didn’t throw this dude in their camp? He should have never been on that stoop…. He should have been tourinf somewhere!
Big L, RIP!

Actually he wanted to do his own thing from what I understand. Him and Jay were cool I even got the Hot97 freestyle they did back in the day when Big L killed it. (This was when Jay was changing from Jay-z that fast rapper to the smooth cool Jay-z) and I know if he wasn’t taken in his peek I.E Pun,Big, he would have done wonders for this Hip Hop thing.
R.I.P Big L!!

Legend has it that Roc-a-Fella was inking out a deal to sign him before tragedy struck.
RIP Big L.

I can agree that if big L was still alive he probably would have the same status as jay-z. And a lot of these fake rappers would be exposed.

HOT 97 ? You mean that 89 tek 9 freestyle right because I never heard of them going on hot 97. But besides that I agree that L would have done some damage and made mc’s step there pen game up.

The Father of Eminem Style?!?!? Do you know anything about Big L? For one, the style that Big L raps in was NOT his. Big L is the Only rapper in the History of Hip Hop to steal another rappers’ style and do it better than him. Second, he sounds nothing like Eminem and vice versa. They both have different styles. And 3rd, he died over beef his brother had with a rival crew. They couldn’t get to his brother, so they got Big L in order to bring his brother to them. But he was in negotiations with Rocafella. Remember, Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” was s’posed to be his first and last album. Big L and Memphis Bleek were gonna be the 2 featured artist on Rocafella. But as fate would have it, Big L got shot, Memphis Bleek was disappointing, so Jay-Z had to do it by himself. But that “father of Eminem style” comment was ridiculous.

THIS DUDE WAS THAT SHIT…. HE WAS THE ILLEST RAPPER IN HARLEM. KILLA CAM AND MURDER MASE WERE PROLLY ON HIS LEVEL BUT L WAS WAY AHEAD OF THEM TWO. ITS SAD HE NEVER HAD HIS REAL SHOT. HIM, OLD KILLA CAM AND PUN ON A TRACK WOULD’VE BEEN CRAZY… EBONICS IS STILL THE SHIT TO THIS DAY.. BIG L…R.I.P!!!!!
