“Lil Wayne: The Carter” Documentary (Official Trailer)

Mikey: QD3’s controversial “Lil Wayne: The Carter” documentary will finally be made available to the public on Nov 17th when the dvd hits stores. The film received rave reviews at this year’s Sundance Film Fesitval, however earlier in the year Wayne’s camp attempted to sue QD3 entertainment claiming the film painted Wayne in a negative light.

I saw this at sundance, its actually pretty good considering the suckiness of the director’s last movie (Bomb the system)
It is a VERY in depth look into the role that addiction plays in Lil wayne’s creative process and how his drive to be prolific is fueled by the fact that when he’s in the studio, he’s sip sip sipping on the sizzurp. One enables the other.
Also, he’s the worst father in the world and there is an amazingly heartbreaking interview with his daughter that sort of steals the show.
I can’t believe he signed a release for this shit. What an idiot.

well i think that’s why wayne sued to have the movie stopped. but he lost. probably because…duh, he signed the release, lol. So I can’t wait to see it this week in NY. Thanks for the insight!!

WOW, i def wanna see it now. hes portrayed as a GREAT father in interviews with all the BM’s (baby mamas) the sizzurp is just DUMB. i may be a lil slow but what docu was the directors last? i guess ill google it. Info please write a review when you see it this week. THANKS

This dude is going to JAIL FOR A YEAR! Let cut the bullshit out please. I know wayne ain’t a criminal …far from it. But com’on here lets look at the facts.
1. He got caught with the heat in NY
2. He promote the fact that he is a active gang memeber.
3.He has like 3 baby moms and he claims all of them to be his girlfriend
4. He brag about excessive drug use in his rhymes…but he is a hero though right?

If anyone is interested here is a link to a documentary called RAMPAGE about 3 brothers that are growing up in the brown sub ghetto in miami trying to make it as rappers….i know its not wayne related but this reminded me of the doco, which i thought was well made and shows the type of environment wayne grew up in.. which helps explain why he is who he is..bla bla bla

Jamron this is exactly what he wants to believe. Wayne isn’t a thug,criminal or anything that relates to it. When I said that I was actually discrediting his raps and his lifestyle. It is like what 50 said “I think wayne grew up on tv”. If you want to go by the actual meaning fine by me. But in my eyes he will never be one. No matter how much time he spends in jail , no matter how many hardcore rhymes he kicks and ect.
Like I said before Wayne camp is fucking funny. In one breath they say “we are going to sue you, if you protary weezy in a negative. In the next breath they let this fool walk around screaming “Ima G and blat” in his rhymes. Where is public relates when you need them? Lol
Honestly , I think wayne brags about being a thug just to impress girls. You take away the money and the whole “I’m a misunderstood gangsta” from ghetto image. And you will have a paranoid little drug addict that doesn’t know how to be himself . But Jamron if you believe he is really a thug. Go tell Young Money that cause they might have a case then. If they managed to convince one person he is a thug. But then again they won’t cause the film didn’t inspire the thought. lmao
